Civils 2000

Upgrading Berg River Boulevard, Paarl, Western Cape

In 2016 the Drakenstein Municipality commissioned Civils 2000 to undertake the 3.5 km upgrade and widening of Paarl’s Berg River Boulevard to a dual carriageway between Lady Grey Street and Oosbosch Street Bridge. In addition, phase 1 of the 104m long Oosbosch Street bridge widening required piling and construction of pier caps in preparation for construction of the 7.35m bridge piers. The project also saw Civils 2000 awarded the Drakenstein Heritage Foundation Greening Award for planting a number of additional trees along the median.
